 TS Converting Equipment have supplied a 4th high speed, customised slitter to the PSG Group Ltd in London. Their latest CW800 machine is equipped with a Vetaphone, 2 side corona treatment unit and was installed in their high spec’, class 8 clean room.

The machine specification is similar to their previous unit, supplied 12 months earlier, with a 1600mm web width, 800mm rewind diameter, laser core and knife positioning, differential rewind shafts, razor and shear slitting. Despite the current economical climate the CW range of machines are very popular, with installations all over the globe reaching record levels.
“The CW machines offer a real alternative to customers who may have previously considered second hand or Asian sourced equipment” says Tim Self, Director of Elite Cameron, “They are very competitively priced with all the facilities a customer requires to compete in the market today. Short run, quick turnaround orders are achieved for customers who hold minimal stock levels”
The machines are built in their modern manufacturing facility in the UK using high quality, locally sourced components such as Fife Tidland, Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC, Parker SSD Touch Screen and digital AC drives, all of which have international support. The machines comply fully with the very latest Health and Safety legislation and all parts are powder coated or plated to a very high standard.
A similar machine has just been supplied to The Platinum Packaging Group, based in Los Angeles CA. They supply a wide range of films into the food packaging industry with major contracts with government institutional feeding programs as well as a substantial base of private customers.
“We decided to bring all our slitting in house with the purchase of a new Elite Cameron machine” Says Nick Lowe, Platinum’s President, “This significant investment has enabled us to provide a better service to our customers with total control of the process, which is very important when the product is used directly in the food packaging sector”
