HM1000 Slot Die Hot Melt Coater.
This 1600mm wide, compact, high performance machine provides a very cost effective package for the production of all hot melt tapes, labels and laminates. The standard specification includes Valco hot melt tank, heated hose and slot die, digital SSD AC vector drives, chiller, dual guided unwinds, rewind, automatic tension control, colour touch screen controls and job memory facility.

LM1000 High Performance Roll & Sheet Laminator
The LM1000 Laminator is modular in design with facilities for single and double sided lamination in one pass. The unit can be configured to laminate self adhesive tapes to sheets or continuous web (roll fed). High resolution tension control ensures high quality lay flay laminates on delicate or stretchy materials such as foams and non-woven’s.

C800 “Low Cost” Slitter
The “C” range of slitting machines are designed to provide exceptional value and are available on a short delivery, covered by our comprehensive warranty and after sales service. The compact, robust machines are capable of slitting down to very narrow widths as the slitting section is mounted very close to the rewind section. This general purpose Slitter performs well on all substrates such as Flexible Packaging Films, Adhesive Tapes, Laminates, Filtration Media, Rubber and Textiles. UK Companies invest in the future!

A large number of Centre Winders have been supplied to customers in Europe and North America, states Tim Self, Managing Director of TS Converting Equipment Ltd. “ These machines were developed as a low cost alternative to customers that would not have previously considered purchasing new. We are building 1-2 a month of these machines in our Taunton facility, which complements our build program and general flow of the high performance machines”.

A recent 1600mm wide machine with a 400mm rewind diameter was shipped to GE in North America to slit down to 6mm reels of delicate film products. The machines are very compact with exceptionally short distance between the slitting section and rewind. Conventional centre winders can only typically achieve 10-12mm minimum slit width on stable, non extensible products. This particular machine is also used for some non-wovens and was the first machine to be shipped with Crush, Razor and Shear Slitting.

A 2000mm wide machine has been shipped to Aerovac in Yorkshire to slit a wide range of films and non-wovens used in composite manufacturing. “The machine performs very well on our wide range of materials” says Nick Hynes, Purchasing Manager for Aerovac “We were previously using commission slitters which performed well but became increasingly expensive with the cost of transportation etc”

The set up time is reduced dramatically with the Elite Cameron “Lazerset” system for rapid knife and core setup. The tension of the web is controlled precisely using the latest SSD digital drives and touch screen controls.

Another Yorkshire based company, Prospool Ltd, recently installed an 800mm diameter version of the machine which is used to convert materials for secondary processing on their Spool winding machines. “The Elite C800 has improved our efficiency dramatically”, says Richard Hobson, Managing Director of Prospool, “We are now able to control our converting process completely, minimising waste and improving the finished quality of our customers products.”

T S Converting Equipment report a record sales year with many new Slitters supplied in to the Medical, Flexible Packaging and Adhesive Tape industries.

“We have noticed a substantial increase in demand for our ancillary products which reduce downtime on Slitters” says Spencer Davies, Sales manager of TS “We have supplied a large quantity of our Differential Rewind Shafts and “Lazerset” systems for retrofit onto other manufacturer’s machines”.
