TS CONVERTING “RALLY TEAM”

Tim Self (Director) and Barry Luxton (Company Accountant) have been Rallying for many years; start the 2008 ASWMC Tarmac Rally series with a bump. Their latest car a Subaru WRX, develops over 300BHP and over 600lbs of Torque.

Several customers visited the event and enjoyed the hospitality provided.
“Despite the cold weather we had a great time at the Brean rally”, says Tony Webb of CCS, “It was great to meet the TS staff and other customers in a relaxing environment”

“We started the 2008 season on the Brean Stages Rally in January, but have been battling to sort out the Brakes since buying the car in late 2007” says Tim Self. “ Having replaced them with the latest competition, Brembo callipers the car seemed great at the 3 Counties Rally in March but we lost 2nd gear after the third stage and had to retire”

Despite this set back, the times were encouraging on the first two stages, placing them well inside the Top Ten. The car has been repaired and can be seen out on the next round at the TSH Stages in Cornwall on the 17th May 2008.

RALLY REPORT JULY 08

Tim Self and Barry Luxton recently completed the Rallying UK.com – “Smeatharpe Stages” tarmac Rally in Somerset. The weather was very dry and hot which suited the high powered, light weight two wheel drive classes, many of whom finished in the Top ten. “We would have preferred some damper conditions” explains Tim Self “our four wheel drive, Subaru Impreza is more competitive in the slippery conditions”. The car performed very well, the service crew only needing to satisfy its considerable appetite for new tyres throughout the day.  Despite this the pair went on to finish 10^th overall and 5^th in class.
